The network architecture coverage fiber stretches over 18,000 miles across the US, and the local fiber extends this reach to over 120,000 miles. CogentCogent Communications is a multinational tier 1 facilities-based internet service provider with operations in the United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico. Cogent currently has a presence in over 170 major markets throughout 32 countries in North America and Europe. With over 59,000 miles of route fiber more than 16,000 miles of metropolitan fiber, Cogent’s award-winning fiber optic interconnect with over 3,100 other networks.

Being a facilities-based carrier, Cogent takes advantage of full end-to-end control over its transport and routing technology to provide reliable and scalable service. Their end-to-end optical transport network consists of IP-over-WDM fiber links running up to 680 Gbps intercity capacity and 320 Gbps on metropolitan rings. Verizon provides Ethernet Access services which can connect companies' network environments around the world, enabling business applications and technologies to work seamlessly and with little disruption, whether at corporate headquarters, branch offices, or remote sites. Ethernet Access is available in bandwidths from 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps (on 10M, 100M, GigE and/or 10GigE UNI speeds) in various increments, granting you the flexibility and control to choose the right option for your specific networking needs.
